Maddie and Snicker came to us with Twix and Peach. They were surrendered to us many years ago when their owner could no longer care for them because of her failing health. Twix was having a hard time keeping weight on with her other minis getting the majority of hay so she was adopted out to a wonderful, caring family in Sammamish. Peach passed away in 2019 due to a stomach growth then colic. Maddie and Snickers were used as brood mares before their life at SAS. Our sanctuary does not breed any animal, so they are glad to not have to have a baby each spring. These mini horses are fun for the kids to brush and parade around the trails during birthday parties and summer kids’ camp.
