Help send a kid to camp

In 2025, our Summer Camp Scholarship Program reached a major milestone—awarding scholarships to more than 75 children ages 4–12. These scholarships opened the doors to hands-on learning, animal connection, and outdoor exploration for families who may not otherwise have access. Through the support of our community partners and donors, campers experienced confidence-building activities, compassionate animal care, and meaningful time in nature.

But the need continues to grow. Imagine never having a summer camp memory—no games, no animals, no adventures. For many local children, that’s their reality. At Sammamish Animal Sanctuary (SAS), we’re working to change that—and we need your help.

We’re proud to partner with incredible local nonprofits, including YWCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Seattle Angels, Vision House, and Sound Health, to provide unforgettable summer camp experiences for underserved youth across the Greater Seattle area.

Many children have already applied for 2026 scholarships to attend our hands-on, animal-centered camps with the SAS BarnYard Crew—and they’re counting on us.

Your sponsorship does more than send a child to camp. It creates a safe, nurturing space where kids build confidence, develop empathy, and form meaningful connections with animals, nature, and each other. SAS is contributing toward the cost of camp registration, and we invite you to help bridge the gap.

Sponsorship Opportunities:

  • Send 1 child to camp: $250

  • Send 3 children to camp: $750

  • Send 5 children to camp: $1,250

  • Custom sponsorship: Give at any level

Your support creates lasting impact—and gives a child the kind of summer they’ll never forget.

All you need is love!

Our animals are often rescued from difficult circumstances and come to our sanctuary to live a peaceful life in a caring environment. To make sure our sanctuary can continue to provide a home for our residents, your generous donations are so greatly appreciated. If you are able, please consider a monthly donation or sponsor one of our animals and or purchase an item from our Amazon Wish List to help us maintain a safe place for animals in need! Thank you, from Hamilton, Frilly, Amelia, Magoo, Zoey, Willy and the whole gang!!

Wish List

AMAZON WISH LIST: As you can imagine, we go through a lot of supplies every day, with food, cleaning, grooming and much more. Our wish list on Amazon has many items that we need at the farm to support our animals. We would greatly appreciate anything you can order to help support our sanctuary.

FEED AND BEDDING FOR OUR ANIMALS: Our feed bill has increased significantly these past few years. Our hay prices alone have gone sky high! Orchard grass is now $30 a bale and is expected to keep climbing. We also have some older animals on supplements to help them stay healthy and comfortable. A monthly donation would help out tremendously! If you would like to set up a monthly donation for our horses, goats, mini donkeys, cows, sheep, alpacas, llama, ducks, chickens and/or rabbits, we will add your name as a sponsorship on our website! We do not have a lot of storage space and have to order feed frequently so gift certificates at Grange Supply would be much appreciated!

MAINTENANCE: There always seems to be a project in progress and maintenance needed for our facilities. Gift certificates to Home Depot or Lowes go a long way to help us maintain a safe and healthy environment for our animals and our guests!
