AL.

You can recognise Al as a white alpaca, with a lot more fur all over his head than the other. He was rescued from a ranch, where he was extremely neglected, and his life was in danger. He was kept in a very small pen, crowded with a lot of sheep. He came to our farm in desperate need of shearing. He was filthy, and his hooves needed trimming. As soon as Al got to our farm, he was treated to a “spa day” where he was sheared and given a much needed pedicure. He is so grateful to have a pasture to run and play in. He was later joined by our other alpaca, named Frances. Alpacas are shy, so please don’t chase them or approach them. If you are lucky, they will come to you! Usually, they approach you if you hold food out for them at the fence. You can read more about Al’s story in his book “Al The Alpaca” which is available in our General Store or on Amazon.
