These four minis are all family! Missy is the mom to Dixie and Dapper. Dustin had a different mom but shares the same dad with Dixie and Dapper. Missy was used as a brood mare and was bred each year. We brought Dixie and Dustin to our farm when her owner could no longer afford to keep them. The following year we acquired Missy for the same reason. We were so excited to bring Missy to SAS to reunite with her daughter Dixie. Missy was pregnant when she was adopted by us and she foaled a handsome colt on Easter morning, 2021. We named him Dapper as we think he is handsome as can be with stunning blue eyes! Dapper and Dustin are little pranksters when they are together but are gentle with people. Dixie is sweet but can be a stinker, especially when it comes to treats so we ask that you not feed the mini horses. Missy keeps an eye on her babies and is glad not to have to have a foal each spring.
